Terms & Conditions

By enrolling in or participating in any lessons, classes, programmes, or activities conducted by SwimCareSG, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

 

Class Details

Schedule

• Lessons are conducted weekly at the same day & time (4 lessons per month).

• There are no regular lessons during the 5th week of the month. This week may be used for make-up lessons if required.

 

ClassCard Student App

SwimCareSG uses the ClassCard Student app to manage lesson schedules, credits, invoices, and payments.

• Lesson schedules follow the ClassCard Student calendar slots.

• Coaches/admin will not send reminders.

• If no lesson is scheduled (e.g. assigned coach leave, travel, or 5th week), no calendar slot will appear.

• Parents/students are responsible for checking the ClassCard Student calendar and informing us of any errors.

 

Coach Availability

If the assigned coach is on leave, students will be informed. A replacement coach is available upon request.

• If a replacement coach is arranged – lesson proceeds and is charged as usual.

• If no replacement coach is arranged, there is no lesson – lesson will not be charged.

• Lesson credits can be cleared with a replacement coach at regular lesson slots when the assigned coach is on leave, and the lesson will not be charged.

 

Punctuality

• Late arrival by students does not extend lesson time.

• If the coach is late, the lesson will be extended to complete the full duration.

Group Classes

Group classes contain 3–5 students. SwimCareSG reserves the right to allocate suitable students to groups.

 

Lesson Fees & Payment

Deposit

One-time refundable $80 deposit per student upon enrolment. Refunded upon termination with 1 month notice (4 lessons) after outstanding payments are cleared.

 

Monthly Fees

Invoices for 4 lessons/month issued on the 24th of each month. Payment due before the last day of the month.

 

Late Payment

Payments after the due date incur a $20 administrative fee. Lessons will be suspended until payment is received.

 

Fee Policy

• Lesson fees are non-refundable.

• Lesson fees from missed lessons cannot offset lesson fees of future month fees. However, make-up can be arranged outside of the regular lesson schedule.

 

Absence

Planned Absence
Inform SwimCareSG before invoices are issued if lessons will be missed due to travel or personal plans. Those dates will not be charged.

 

Extended Absence (>1 month)
Fees will not be charged & lesson slots will not be reserved.

• If no communication is received during billing, the $80 deposit will be forfeited and the slot released.

 

Lesson Cancellations 

Valid Cancellations

All reasons with minimum 2 hours notice – eligible for a make-up lesson.

 

Late Cancellation / No-Show
All reasons less than 2 hours notice or absence without notice – considered a chargeable lesson.

 

Weather Cancellations

• Heavy rain/lightning – valid cancellation at any point of lesson.

• Light rain or cold weather (less than 2h notice) – chargeable lesson.

 

Coach Cancellation

• A replacement coach may be arranged upon request.

• If a replacement coach is not arranged, a make-up lesson can be scheduled.

• Fee refunds or offsets are not applicable.

 

Wet Weather Policy 

• Weather will be monitored closer to lesson time.

• Lessons continue during light rain.

• Lessons cannot proceed during heavy rain/ lightning. Cancellations due to heavy rain/lightning are valid cancellations at any point of the lesson and make-up lessons can be arranged.

 

If heavy rain/lightning occurs after lesson starts:

• Coach may conduct dry-land stretching/exercises in a sheltered area if suitable.

• If a dry-land session is not conducted, remaining time can be made up by extending future lessons.

Make-Up Lessons 

Make-up lessons apply only to paid lessons with valid cancellations.

 

⚠️ Make-up lessons with the assigned coach are in addition to regular lessons and should not replace regular lesson slots.

 

Options:

• Make-up with assigned coach (mutual availability)

  • Full duration make-up lesson – outside of regular lessons or 5th week

  • Extended regular lessons (e.g. +15 minutes across several sessions)

• Make-up with replacement coach (if the assigned coach is unavailable)

  •  Full duration make-up lesson – outside of regular lessons, during the 5th week, or during the regular lesson slot when the assigned coach is on leave

• Store as lesson credit (no expiry) - used for future make-up lessons if scheduling is not immediately available

 

For 2-pax or group classes: Make-ups can be arranged separately for each student if required.

 

Special Arrangement:If the assigned coach is on leave, lesson credits can be used with a replacement coach during the regular lesson slot.

 

Lesson Duration Adjustments (Applies to 1-2 & group classes) 

Classes will proceed even without full attendance. Same for make-up classes.

Termination 

Minimum 1 month notice (4 lessons) required. $80 deposit refunded after outstanding payments are cleared.

 

Notice period excludes:

• Months with inactive attendance

• Time required to clear remaining class credits

Remaining credits can be cleared after the 4 lesson notice period.

Waiver & Release of Liability

By enrolling in SwimCareSG activities (“Activities”) conducted at private or condominium pools (“Venues”), you agree to this waiver for yourself and/or your child under 18 (“Child”).

 

Authority

• You are at least 18 years old.

• You are the parent/guardian of the child (if applicable).

 

Medical Fitness
You confirm that:

• You/your Child are physically fit to participate.

• Any medical conditions have been disclosed.

• SwimCareSG must be informed if any condition arises later.

SwimCareSG may suspend participation for safety reasons.

 

Parent / Guardian Responsibility
Parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising their child before the scheduled lesson begins and immediately after the lesson ends, including while entering, leaving, or waiting at the venue.

 

Assumption of Risk

• Swimming activities carry inherent risks including: injury, illness, permanent disability, drowning, death, etc.

• Risks may arise from water activities, physical exertion, environmental conditions, other participants, equipment, or infectious diseases.

• Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

 

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwimCareSG and its coaches, employees, and representatives (“Relevant Persons”) shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from or related to:

• Participation in any lessons, programmes, or activities conducted by SwimCareSG

• Presence at, entry to, or use of any swimming pool, facility, or venue used for lessons before, during, or after lesson time

• Any emergency care, first aid, or assistance provided by the Relevant Persons.

 

Release & Indemnity
Participants and/or their parents/guardians agree to release and indemnify the Relevant Persons from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in SwimCareSG lessons or presence at the lesson venue, except where prohibited by law.

 

Legal

• Invalid provisions do not affect remaining terms.

• Non-participants have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001.

• Governed by the laws of Singapore and subject to Singapore courts.
